The one's who know me know that I am a breakfast lover! I never leave the house without my morning breakfast and my coffee (even though I try every ones in a while to omit the latter). And combined it gets even better. This delicious coffee oat recipe is pure heaven. Our classic overnight oats are infused with a delicious coffee shot, topped with additional plant-milk foam, hazelnut butter and raw cacao nibs. And to naturally sweeten the mix, a handful Medjool dates are cut into tiny chunks and added to create the perfect, naturally sweet breakfast, which, in my opinion, could also be served as a dessert. Recipes thrive from the ingredients we use, especially raw recipes and recipes with reduced fat and sugar which are the classic flavor carries in conventional recipes. Therefore, start saving when it comes to high-quality ingredients. Not only your taste buds will thank you, your health will as well eventually! For this recipe I used:
- Coffee from Moxxa - my favorite roaster in the world. Their espresso is the best! (100% unpaid)
- Organic Medjool Dates from 1001Frucht.de - As I've been working with them I pretty much know their entire portfolio. The Medojool dates are amazing.
- Cacao Nibs. I currently use these organic raw Cacao beans either hulled and crushed or as whole beans
I don't have any particular recommendations for plant-milk, oats, flax seeds & hazelnut butter as I also go with different brands every time. The only thing I recommend is to choose organic if possible.
Absolutely no! I just used this wonderful dessert drink glas because it has been sitting on my food prop shelve forever without being used. But my fair point here - the recipe tastes amazing. You could even served it as a dessert or a brunch dish. And for those "use cases", my wonderful champaign glass has it's reason for being!
My pro tip for prepping overnight oats btw is to just use any simple bowl for the soaking process and transfer the mix right before serving into your preferred serving this. That way you ensure to always have your favorite plates available and avoid risking any damage from placing it into the fridge, or similar.
