Seaweed has been at the top of the superfood table for quite some time. Kelp, Nori, and now Dulse aka sea bacon? - I know, it might seem a bit "over-euphoric" to call a veggie "bacon" but the superfood really has it all. Dulse is loaded with protein, rich in fibre, and contains a great amount of iron (which is great for strong hair btw) just to name a few. Moreover, it is super versatile to use. You can sprinkle the "raw" & crushed version over your salad bowl as a salt replacement, cook it and enjoy it as sea spaghetti, use it as a basis for a vegan Dashi or fry and enjoy the sea veggie as the most nutritious bacon you ever had.
Read on and get a wonderful first overview over the super nutritious sea veggie.
With growing popularity, there are more and more online shops now that offer the super sea veggie Dulse. To ensure you get a pesticide-free, high quality product, I would always recommend to purchase organic.
For my German friends and sea veggie lovers, I can recommend the Algenshop. They offer pretty much every ocean plant out there - from Nori sheets to seaweed spaghetti. You can shop Dulse fresh as "sea spaghetti" or dried and ideal for Dashis or crushed sea salt for example, *
